skip the rock · the Rock Journal  ·  effective july 2026

the short version: the Rock Journal keeps everything on your device. nothing leaves your pocket, because there's nowhere for it to go.

what we collect

Nothing. The Rock Journal has no account, no login, and no server. Every rock you log, every photo you add, and every note you write is stored locally on your own device · it is never uploaded to us or anyone else. We can't see your journal, because it never reaches us.

photos and camera

If you add a photo to a find, the app may ask for permission to use your camera or photo library. Those images are saved only on your device, alongside the rest of your journal. They are not sent anywhere.

no tracking, no ads, no selling

We do not run advertising, we do not use third-party trackers or analytics inside the Rock Journal, and we do not sell or share any information about you · because we don't collect any to begin with.

the website

When you place an order at skiptherock.com, payment is handled by our shop (Shopify) and its payment partners, which collects the details needed to complete your purchase under its own privacy policy. Our web host may keep standard, anonymous server logs (such as IP address and page requests) for security and reliability. We do not build advertising profiles from this.

children

The Rock Journal is friendly for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

your data, your control

Because your journal lives on your device, you're in control of it. Deleting the app removes its data from your device. There is no account to close and nothing stored with us to request or erase.

changes

If this policy ever changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
